SEXUALITY AND THE SPIRITUAL EXERCISES

This day event for Epiphany Group embers looks at the relationship ofspirituality and sexuality from an experiential and reflective stance,with particular reference to the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises and our  work as spiritual directors/companions.

Andrew Walker is an Anglican priest and director of the London Centre  for Spirituality.  He is also co-director of the London based Ignatian Spirituality Course, and a Pschosynthesis counsellor and supervisor.

The event will be held at the Ignatian Spirituality Centre, 35 Scott  Street, Glasgow G3 6PE. Coffee 10.30am, starting at 11 am and finishing about 5 pm.  £25/20 concs. including  sandwich lunch, tea and coffee.

Closing date for registration is 23 May 2008. Further details including map will be sent shortly before the event to those who have registered.

Annual residential conference open to those interested in Ignatian Spirituality at the Pastoral Centre, Dundee. The theme will be Spirituality and Justice.

Miriam McHardy

Miriam has worked as Campaigns Officer for the Catholic development agency Trócaire in Ireland, and in Scotland as Youth Officer for SCIAF. In both agencies she has been concerned to encourage people to be involved in social justice as an outcome of their faith.

More recently she has worked with the Centre for Theology and Public Issues at the University of Edinburgh where she has been involved in research into young people’s attitudes to human rights and religion.

Her own Masters research examined how involvement in social justice can have a positive influence on people’s faith. She also works as a spiritual director.

Miriam is married with two young children.

This will be open to non members as well as members.
